WHAT DO THESE PICTURES HAVE IN COMMON?

  1. Neither character has any legitimate power
  2. Leprechaun's are a pagan myth
  3. The perpetual virginity of Mary is a pagan myth
  4. My Irish Catholic Grandmother believed in both
I do not debate the fact, that Mary was a Virgin UNTIL AFTER she brought forth her FIRSTBORN son.

(Matthew 1:24-25 KJV) "Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: {25} And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS."

Then Joseph "KNEW" her and she bore James, Joses, Juda, Simon, and his sisters.

(Matthew 12:46-47 KJV) "While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. {47} Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee."

(Mark 6:3 KJV) "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him."

    • When an I grade is assigned, the Assessment Panel will approve a schedule for the completion of work, or a supplementary examination.

    • I grade to F grade conversion: An I grade will be converted into a F grade four weeks after the I grade is first reported to the Head of Academic Regulations and Records Office, unless an alternative grade has been assigned.

GRADE POINT AVERAGES

  • Grade Point Averages are indicators of a student's academic performance.

  • The Grade Point Averages (GPA) is calculated for all courses taken by the student during enrollment for a specific Program. It reflects the student's performance for all semesters up to the latest term of study.

  • Grade Point Averages are calculated up to 2 decimal digit with any 3rd decimal digits truncated.

  • The GPA is shown on students' transcripts.

  • Students under the Aggregate Central American grading system were changed to the U.S.A. standard system (expressed above) on 08/05/2006.
CREDIT FOR GPA:
  • Students attaining grade D or better, earn credit units for the course.

  • Grades F, I, IP, S or X do not earn credit units.

  • Grades I, IP, S and X are not counted in the calculation of a student's Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA).
REVIEW OF COURSE GRADES

Resolution - Students with concerns over course grades, should first resolve the matter via informal resolution, outlined below.

( If you believe that: )
  1. there was a clerical error in marking or transcribing the course grades OR

  2. there were extenuating circumstances affecting your performance that you have not previously addressed with the course Instructor OR

  3. you wish to resolve other issues relating to course grades.
  • FIRST; You should contact the Course Instructor responsible for the assessment, to resolve the issue.

  • If you are still unable to resolve the issue, address the issue in writing, to the Dean of Academic Affairs, Calvary Bible Institute, 177 W. Klein Rd., New Braunfels, TX 78130. This letter must be complete in all details.

  • The Dean of Academic Affairs, or relevant/designated Institute staff member, will notify you of the results of the review.

  • As a result of review, grades may be revised upwards, downwards, or remain unchanged.
COURSE REPEAT

Failures
  • Students who fail a required course in their study Program may repeat the course to reverse the failure.

  • Course grades for all attempts, will appear on the student's transcript, but only the latest grade and credits earned will be included in the calculation of the student's Grade Point Averages.
